Welcome to my website. I am running for Georgia's 81st House District as a Democrat because I believe in expanding access to health insurance, improving education and reforming Atlanta's transportation policy to improve the quality of life for the residents of North DeKalb County and all of Georgia.
My family has made DeKalb County home nearly my entire life. I graduated from Chamblee High School in 1998 and Georgia State University in 2003. In 2005, I purchased a condo in the mid-city district of Chamblee. I decided to make my home here due to the area's amazing diversity, the convenient access to public transportation and the many cultural and commercial options within a short walk or drive.
I have worked on education policy for the Democratic Party and Georgia House Democratic caucus, worked in 2003 in the state House for the Public Utilities and Telecommunications Committee and in 2002 in the state Senate with the Veterans and Consumer Affairs Committee.
I graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in print journalism and a minor in political science. In years past, I have been a noted commentator on Georgia and national politics as a blogger and writer. My work has been cited by the AJC, Slate, ABC, C-SPAN and other news organizations and websites.
